For the second week in a row I've had the same Piedmont FA tell the passengers that the pilots are detecting 'cell phone interference' in the cabin of their Dash 8.

Last week he engaged in a fake conversation with the pilots about the continued 'readings' on their 'cell phone interference detection equipment'. He continued to talk to himself for 30 seconds, mentioning things such as receiving fines, safety, etc.

This morning he went as far to say that on his previous flight, 6 passengers were fined $750 each for cell phone violations. He mentioned to the gentlemen in front of him that he hopes this flight will be violation free, as the pilot is a real harda** (or something like that). I can only assume he was suggesting that the pilot left the cockpit to hand out fines to unruly passengers.

How ludicrous. Anyone else run into this FA on some Piedmont routes?
