You could do a round the world business trip, Air Berlin to Berlin (40k avios, then Air Berlin to Abu Dhabi (25K avios) , Cathay to Hong Kong (40K avios), then Cathay Hong Kong to New York (70k avios) Total cost 175k avios and aprox 300 dollars
