So I've accumulated 400k avios from the 100k promos and a few bonus transfers from Amex.

Now trying to figure out the best way to optimize them and having a bit of trouble getting started. I'm pretty open to travel worldwide, as work/MBA has prohibited me from doing much in the way of travel to date.

Question is, what have people found to be good uses of avios? I'm aware that travel to Europe is generally out given fuel and other surcharges, but howabout SE Asia for example?

Any help appreciated. I have done some reading but having trouble coming up with a good consensus.
