According to SeatGuru (not always reliable):

In Economy, some Lufthansa 747-400 have not yet been retrofitted and do not offer touch screen entertainment. In these cases, films and programming are shown via overhead projectors and monitors throughout the cabin. On retrofitted aircraft, the same programming in First and Business class is available via touch screens.
I do know that Lufthansa were late to the game with AVOD in economy, but not sure how close they are to catching up.
