Small sample size aside, the results are probably reflect what the (grateful for the last trip or pitching for the next one) respondents actually think; but so what?! After all, how many frequent flyers (all other things being equal) would choose an airline based on a tabloid article and how many tourists would choose a destination because someone they had never met enjoyed it?
Of course, if VS and/or CX served everywhere I wanted to go (ideally from LHR), I wouldn't even need to check FT for the least worst alternative!
