I hold a Singapore Platinum Charge card. The card fee increased from USD960 (SGD1200) to USD1370 (SGD1712) per year w/o initial enrollment fee.

Like many other Asian countries, Amex Platinum Charge card is only available through invitation but one may express their interest by calling up the exclusive Platinum card acquisition hotline to ask for an invitation, the requirements: min income - SGD200k per annum for existing cardholders / SGD300k per annum for non-amex customers.

Most of us were told that the amount of Platinum cards in Singapore are controlled within a small amount, and will never more than 5000, currently still maintained at 4500 members.

The Singapore Centurion card fee was also increased significantly from USD4000 (SGD5000) w/o initial enrollment fee to USD6000 (SGD7500) plus initial enrollment fee - USD6000 (SGD7500).

The amount of Centurion members are controlled at current 1800, up from 900+ few years back.
