I am writing this now just as I am about to depart for BOM.
It is indeed a nice hotel, but I don't envisage staying here again.
No upgrade provided even though occupancy is low - I wonder if 'paying' for my stay with points had any bearing on that.
Some staff are good - some are woeful - I like to praise staff who have provided good service - and some have, however, nobody wears name tags which is a pity.
Rooms are OK, but already showing signs of wear and tear and some of the workmanship of the fixtures and fittings leave a lot to be desired.
I don't get the concept of their 'element' themes either.
First night in lounge the service was great - second night was non- existent and we walked out.
I'm sure many people will like the hotel - but if I were top sum up the hotel in three words.........."Style over Substance"!
There are more appealing and better value options in Bangkok IMO.
