You got a good deal on the inter-island flights because the combo tkt with the Tahiti Nui international segments is always cheaper than doing it separately. However if OP uses miles, they will have to buy the $500 R/T.
You are correct! Sorry about the misinformation! I selected return and didn't notice I had to select both. God that seems like a lot for the 35 minute flight!
