There is bag storage available in Portland, but I'm not quite sure about
the lounge. The MAX light rail is about a block away which gives you access
to downtown or head over to Voodoo Donuts nearby for a treat

.
In Irvine, there are usually a few taxis parked in front of the
station entrance until it closes at 11pm. Otherwise, you can also request a
ride with Uber which is available 24hrs. There is ample free parking for both
long and short term. Irvine in general is very safe and the station is well lit
at night and secure.
For San Diego, it depends on what your interests are? Getting off at
Solana Beach puts you close to the beach activities and good access to North
County. There are daily Pacific Surfliner trains that drop off pax at Old
Town San Diego which is walking distance to dining and shopping. The rest of
downtown can be accessed by boarding the MTS Green Line trolley which you
can ride all the way towards Seaport Village and the Gaslamp Quarter.
