Thanks for the clarification. I looked back at the segments credited to my family, and yes you are correct. They did get the PQM but not the PQD. Also, did not get any of the 4 needed segments on United. Will need to always book thru United from here on out, I guess..

We travel a lot with our kids. it would be nice to just have them get elite status based on miles.. So many conditions now it is becoming a mega hassle.

So, fellow travelers: do I stay with United FF or jump ship to Turkish??
