I'm not a fan of the US 757 Envoy product. Delta's 757 is similar in pitch and recline and recliners just don't work for side-sleepers. But I surely would not seek an extra segment and an overnight in London just to fly an AA 77W in Business vs. a US 757 non-stop CLT or PHL-BCN.
This is particularly true of the opposite direction -- since the flights are almost all morning departures. E.g., BCN-PHL departs at 10:45a and arrives PHL at 1:35p.
I think that's yet another argument for flying into LHR (as you'll get some of the best metal on the overnight segment) and out of a smaller city on the continent.
