You can try and contact Aeroplan and see if they would "match" your miles upon closing your M&M account, but you probably are better off by getting a present for yourself off the Worldshop catalogue and call it a day.
I'm not someone who flies a lot (in 2013 I took 16 planes, with different alliances: more than the average person I know, but not enough to call myself a "frequent flyer")... So even if 11,000 miles aren't that much, they still mean something to me. Especially since I got a 10,000 aeroplan miles bonus with the credit card, and at 15,000 I could already claim a free round-trip ticket...
I'll try calling Aeroplan, anyway, and see if it's possible to do something.
