After lunch was served, I asked FA if I could have the official passenger manifest where they had crossed out my name in 2F and handwritten in his. They said, "Sure!"
I would rarely, if ever bother someone for an autograph, but in this case I asked Magic if he would sign the manifest to my daughter. He was happy to and included a very nice personal message just for her. Later, I had my boarding pass (in those days, the green tear-off stub), the autographed manifest and an 8X10 of Magic in uniform on court all put into a larger frame in Laker colors and gave it to my daughter for Christmas. Still one of her treasured possessions!
Welcome to Flyertalk! What a great story and a great first post, hope to see many more from you.
