Ok perhaps my experience is contrary to your experiences. Traditionally, we get nothing at Fairmonts and I doubt that Hyatt would go up to bat. We get amenities and upgraded suites all the time, as we only stay in suites.

I let the hotel manager know at the Banff Springs one year we are celebrating our Anniversary. We were allocated their spa suite already, and no extra note.. our amenity was the same as usual. Always quite nice the way they treat us don't get me wrong. I guess when we are getting a great deal always, I can't expect the hotel to ante up anymore. Our stays at Fairmont is always special. Hyatt's, just as equal.
