Interesting..... I just priced out a cheap business class fare and instead of $3,000 from the airline it was $2,840 (incl the $40 travel fee because the membership fee apprently isn't enough) from AMEX.

Was exactly 10% off the base fare (taxes didn't change)

Not huge difference but still money...
