I've recently learned that on a close-in booking you can get a great deal on BA Holidays. I just booked a non-Sat night stay LHR-JFK-LHR and my price for flights + 3 nights of hotel was HALF of the airfare only. My question is: What if I abandon the hotel because, for instance, I want to stay with friends? Do I actually have to check in to the hotel for this to be valid?
