Set the blame where it actually belongs - Blackstone (Wikipedia version). Hilton is "an affiliate of The Blackstone Group’s real estate and corporate private equity funds", and I am still betting these people are paring down Hilton's liabilities (e.g. free rooms for points, etc.) for a sale - maybe in 2014?
