If there is available award space on the date you want, I don't see why they should still wait list you.

Btw I think I have a valid argument here on the date change fee for full redemptions vs upgrades. While it may or may not work, I think its still worth the shot to try and argue with the call center, some newbie operator may not know the rules too well which gives you a chance to bend them to your favor
