I fully agree with you.
I think though there will be complaints (like the OP) when a priority tag is not put on because a passenger is flying First/Business/WT+ or is Gold, Silver, Bronze, oneworld Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby,... and expects it.
Agreed. To be honest, until this discussion, I was probably suffering the same delusion. And constantly standing at baggage reclaim .....ing about why my bags weren't getting delivered first (like they mostly do on AA and CX). Now I know better and can use the waiting time more productively - i.e. reading War and Peace or suchlike.
