Bangkok, 30, Male, Single
So I am probably going to have a few questions for my end of April/first of May trip to Bangkok and Phuket.
However, wanted to start on getting my hotel in Bangkok for 5 nights tucked away.
Right now I am debating between:
Banyan Tree
The W
The Okura Prestige
Tower Club at lebua
I'm a fast walker with long legs and would rather walk 45 min than take a taxi for 15 or a subway for 25.
I'll probably check out a few nightlife places and things, being able to walk to/from the hotel in a (relatively) safe area would be great...but can always take a cab.
Any experience with either of the hotels?
Lebua I like the top floor gold dome bar/restaurant and being in The Hangover (I'm a sucker I know) but the rooms look boring. I like the design and style of the rooms at the W, but would be even better if they were like the other hotels on 50 something floors. Banyan Tree reminds me of the Four Seasons in Sydney in nice, but generic luxury design. The Okura seems like a good mix between the high floors and roof top experience like the Lebua but with less spiced up rooms as the W.
