Just called after receiving letter that my annual fee would be charged on my Jan. Statement. This would be my first year having card...spent initial minimum, and fulfilled a 3 month bonus offer, but not much else. Easy call...retention specialist with good English skills but obviously her second language, waived annual fee. Also, without any prompting, offered a 2500 mile bonus for spending $50 x 5 in month, or something like that....haven't received letter yet. I was ready to cancel, but all in all a great call. BTW, call was after normal east coast business hours.
