This time however, instead of the usual film, paper, and other random equipment, he's ordered darkroom chemicals and in no small ammount (50lbs). Theyre all in powder form, and manufacturer sealed Kodak bags/packets, and while they do have warnings about the medical risks invovled with ingesting them, they donot mention anywhere that they are corrosive, flammable, explosive, caustic, or otherwise hazardous.

I would be very grateful if the collective wisdom of this board can help me determine whether its both safe and sensible to carry this stuff in checked luggage.
