I don't understand how the charge was $60 per first checked bag. Even if for some reason they are not eligible for free first checked bag (say, the credit card was opened less than 7 days prior to travel), the charge should be $25 per bag for a $50 total.

If the bags were overweight, then it would be $100 per bag as it's a domestic flight.
