I have to disagree on taking formula. I breastfed three babies for a grand total of 6 years and on countless flights, I NEVER needed a bottle of formula. Ever. Also, the only child who did have formula (working mom, lost my supply in a huge black out right before going back to work), had a terrible time with most we tried. So taking formula "just in case" could be a big problem if the baby gets an allergic reaction to it.
Also, not all breastfed babies will accept the artificial nipples. Better to just keep to breastfeeding and don't bother with the fuss of bringing an unnecessary bottle.
I also had a Sit-n-Stroll but it doesn't rate well as a car seat. Many car seat techs don't like the install. If you're in the market for a car seat, you may want to check out the Combi Coccoro, which is also to 40lbs. It has a better and easier install. It comes with a flash stroller that you can pull down the aisle.

Personally, at this young age, bringing the baby is probably less stressful than leaving him behind, especially since he's breastfed. Now, once he gets to around two, if there is someone you really trust who knows him well and can take care of him, that would be a different story! But really, he's still at the "easy" age for travel and leaving him behind would involve so much organization, it really wouldn't be worth it.
