Many Japanese bank cards are already accepted at ATMs worldwide ( many are part of the PLUS and or Cirrus networks). It is the opposite way where foreign bank cards are NOT accepted at Japanese bank ATMs (exception is UnionPay)...or 7Bank or ゆうちょ銀行!
