Not sure but I recall hearing their contracts allows them if they so choose to extend their duty day if they want to but not sure how the new rules come into play.

I also now that if there is a delay, sometimes QF will land their DFW-BNE flight at AKL to change crews as will CX LAX-HKG at NRT or ICN.
