I've got about 10 emails about tomorrow's two flights because I keep getting upgraded/wait listed.
The biggest mess, as I understand it, was for anyone with flights within five days of Saturday night's (January 4th's) "schedule change" IT misfire which reset waitlists, did weird stuff with award F and U space and caused phantom schedule non-changes. That's because the IT snafu probably interfered with the normal upgrade processing in that five-day window.

Based on AS postings on Facebook, they've begun implementing a fix to restore waitlists to their pre-Saturday night state and I told by a CSR the first fix was applied last (Monday) night, at least for those outside of the five-day window. I'm hopeful, because my next flight is Sunday.
