OP, it is not an itinerary you need. What you need is the receipt for the ticket.
If you receipt stating that you have been charged for $1500 indicates that it covered all the flights you intended to take, then DOT rules forbid AA to change the fare on you and they have to refund you what you had to pay additionally.
