After reading these stories I feel that I off easy last night. Was on AC 100 from YVR. We left and arrived on time and waited 30 minutes to have a crew arrive to allow us to disembark. Was equally lucky to jump on a a plane to Montreal within 45 minutes of landing. With all the chaos, the flight (which was scheduled to depart at 3 p.m., but actually pushed back at midnight) was 1/3 empty. So many people were desperate to get to Montreal and the plane left with 40 empty seats while many were huddled around other gates hoping their flight would leave. Why they did not fill all those seats baffles me....all I had to do was walk up and ask for a seat....otherwise i would have waited2 hours more for my original flight. In my experience, I have never seen AC deal with weather disruptions well...last night was no exception.
