If you miss your VS flight VS would be under no obligation at all to rebook you on either it's next flight or on another carrier. You will also loose your LHR-NRT return leg as well as they will cancel it once you no-show the NRT-LHR Leg

What does the NRT website say about connection times? Do you really have to clear customs or could your bags be through checked?
