You can only get one Citi card of any kind per week, call it 8 days to be safe. If you apply for the Platinum card and then any Citi card in less than a week, the second one will be denied. So apply for a Platinum card, wait as long as you like but at least 8 days, and then apply for the Executive card if you want or need it for the $450 fee. And keep reading the wiki.
