And a Socialist's idea at that! I think they could keep their quasi status by joining Confederation along the lines of Puerto Rico. Or the Territories: hmmm, "the Southeast Territories of the T&C Islands". I like the sound of that. Kinda like "the republic of Newfoundland and Labrador".
