I just completed LAX - CAN - SYD Return. Transit at CAN is very easy. You will not need a visa for transit (regardless of airline). If you are on CZ the flight is meet by individuals with signs that give direction by flight number. AF as part of SkyTeam should have the same as they are trying to have a uniform approach to services. Was in business for all flights. Service was great. On A380 x 3 and A330 x 1. All were great flights.
