A TA isn't usually necessary.
The first step is learning to use ITA Matrix to search and find fares like these (combined with ExpertFlyer which is useful in finding availability and flights).
Then either:
Use the multi-city tool on the BA/AA website or an OTA.
Call BA/AA and provide flight numbers/dates/fare codes.
However for TATL fares coupled with AA domestic flights, using BA.com will only show BA codeshare flights and generally booked in a business fare code. Booking under the AA code will book in to a first fare code, and so needs to be done through AA.com or otherwise.
