I make it down to the lobby to no folio waiting and more importantly, no taxi waiting. I am then given song and dance about taxis are hard to find in the afternoon in BKK.

There were 3 sitting in the Soi in front doing sweet f'all.
I dont know what type of mattress is at this hotel but it is very comfortable for me to sleep on.
As for Taxis, I wouldn't want the taxis which wait in front of the hotel. They are looking for bigger fish to fry and are usually 2 to 3 x the cost of a real taxi. I always ask for a normal metered taxi. Yes, sometimes these are hard to find.
Now that they only upgrade plats to a Jr. Suite, you are rarely going to get upgrades here. They only have seven in the entire hotel and they send out emails to non-plats all day long trying to get them to pay to upgrade to a Jr. Suite. If you want a suite in BKK, spend a bit more $$ (or even the same) at go to another hotel. I have gotten nice suite upgrades at the Westin, St. Regis, Sheraton and Plaza Athene.
Good luck.
