The platinum member fact sheet mentions that families with kids can eat breakfast downstairs, but implies that people without kids can only eat in the lounge (same policy as JW, I think). No one ever mentioned anything to me about breakfast downstairs. I wasn't too sure, but I ate downstairs twice, signed the bill with a note that it was free, and wasn't charged at checkout.
Yet Kevino (gold) was told that gold and platinum do not get breakfast downstairs, but would be given a 'one time exception'.
Time will tell, I guess.
I was told multiple times that I can eat in the lobby restaurant at Marriott on Suk 57. Although I had to sign the bill, but the front desk told me that they will not charge for breakfast. Guess I lucked out.
