The fact that the child will be breast fed at that point will make things much easier, logistically, most of the time. (Calculating the amount of formula and possibly water for a trip that long could be a nightmare.)

There's no two ways about it- this will be a looong trip (it would be even without the baby). But it sounds like it is well worth taking.
