Well folks, I ended up buying an award ticket for RT First Class to HNL in November, using only 80,000 miles. I guess that's better than paying 100,000 miles for the same award after Feb. 1st. Thanks for the tip jbeckett tho I need the convenience of flying out of PHL and nothing else. This is a US Thanksgiving trip so I don't anticipate voluntarily changing the itinerary. fti that's good to know about a possible future schedule change on USAirways and/or AA's part, that I would be assured First Class seats on United's flights if that happens. I'm glad I redeemed the award. I'll be doing some flying this year and will be able to recover some of those miles before that trip.
