It's like a 2CV against LH's Trabant. Both are terrible, last century products.
I think fabry confused two things here, the slippery slope on LH and AF with a full flat bed in a horizontal position.
Considering that he flew AF 18 times on international routes, one has to wonder why
IIRC, both LH and AF just used their regular C class seats, when they received their A380, but I might be wrong. I guess both had other plans in mind originally, but then Airbus had a few minor problems with the A380.
As pointed out before numerous times, LH and AF are pretty much comparable in C on longhaul flights, hardly any big difference worth mentioning.
Personally, I prefer the C class seat of AC, NZ or even SQ´s sofa to LH and AF.
