FAA Crew Rest Blame has started

Writing this from the CDG CX lounge...

Well, AA pointing the finger for delays at the new FAA crew rest rules has started. AA 49 CDG-DFW is delayed 6h45m.

The inbound flight was 2h late for "OPNL" reasons. According to the CDG TA, once they posted the 2h delay, it triggered an alert to the crew, effectively resetting their rest clock. Don't know whether that's true, but that's what I was told.

Now to seek EC 261/2004 compensation. The TA claimed to know nothing about such compensation, which I find difficult to believe. I'll try AA.com once I arrive and see how far I get.

Cheers,
