Joy Aficionado is based on 10,000 lifetime cumulative points. Once you earn it, you keep it for life. You don't really get any extras other than earning double.

If you redeem for $750 worth of certificates at a time, the points are effectively worth a lot more, but then you have to spend $750 worth of certificates within (I think) a year, which may be tough.
