The air in FC is no different than Y. Just fewer people mucking it up with eau de toilet. As for the baby. I would make sure that all immunizations are up to date. I would be to NOT travel with an infant in arms. Buy the extra seat or for the transcons look into flights where you can get a bassinet (bulkhead seating).
