I was looking for LAX-CMB late last year and as.com often offered LAX-DXB-SIN-CMB which to me sounded like fun! I couldn't force it on the website but it did come up going there from the US. The reason it never came up coming back in F is I could never find a match up with the very sparse DXB-LAX availability that was necessary. Coming back to the US via this route was good because of the almost 24 hr layover in SIN. I decided to do (STS-)LAX-DXB(stop)-CDG in F in June instead.
