I went to an Antler shop this weekend to do some research for this thread.

I may have found an acceptable entry for lightweight + stylish
http://www.antler.co.uk/collections/cyberlite
Note that the cabin bag comes in two different versions, with slightly different measurements. I prefer the two wheeler (which was very easy to manouever although it didn't have four wheels/wasn't a spinner) The sizing however is a little odd, and the website states 'Specifically designed to be used on First Choice, Ryan Air and Thomas Cook airlines'. The slightly wider width and slightly smaller depth may however make it less usable in other airline bins.
Reviews are online for the four wheel version and are mixed, but very little about the two wheel version.
Also note the colour range! I thought that the green and the purple were especially interesting without being obnoxiously bright. (It also comes in lime for those who do want to be obnoxious

, as well as black and a nice red)
The store price was unappealing especially considering after Christmas sales in London, but it can be found various places online so may be cheaper from other sources.
Here is an American source of the four wheel (I would purchase the two wheel if I do decide to try it out)

There are also several of the four wheel from ebay sellers, but again the two wheel is harder to find.
I'm actually tempted to consider this one in the near future, but am awaiting the start of the French winter sales this week before I buy anything new.
