Save $900 and enjoy the better Y product on B6 or VX. $900 is one huge premium for a few miles towards status. buys an awful lot of EC seats and checked bags if you don't make any status this year. Marketing has done an awesome job that we think paying such a premium might be worth it in a loyalty program. I was guilty once myself.
