first time visiting the Oceania region. have ~14-15 days. Originally was thinking Australia and NZ but don't think we have enough time. was thinking of doing (in no particular order) Sydney, Melbourne, Kangaroo Island, Blue Mountains, Great Barrier Reef and Tasmania.

My question is: I picked those locations based on the well-reviewed hotels in those locations. Does this result in a good itinerary for a first time visitor? (If a first-time visitor to the states came to me with an itinerary built around well reviewed hotels, i probably would suggest extensive modifications).

Would appreciate any thoughts.
