I have a ticket booked in "E" class booked via TA. When I tried to upgrade online, it shows that Saver Award is not available though the award redemption in J class is available.

Called KF to check, was told of the following:
- Commercial Booking not able online (that is, via TA) is not eligible for 15% discount for upgrades even if it is performed online

- The availability bucket for saver award is different for commercial booking via TA against booking online. Booking TA has less saver award for upgrade compared to commercial booking made online.

Is this the case? It has been a while since I have performed upgrade online for commercial booking made via TA (as company has paid for the ticket in E class).

Any experience or insights on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
There may be something in what you say. I have upgraded using Saver class made originally in E class by the TA and it always shows up as an option once ticketed, and I have once or twice gotten the 15% discount, and once not. What may prevent an online upgrade

1) Mixed class booking, not eligible for online upgrades
2) For the missing 15% discount, didnt pursue as was able to get the Saver upgrade at the last minute instead of a standard upgrade
