Whilst AKL domestic lounge needs an upgrade (which is unlikely until we get a new domestic terminal), I can say that my experiences there are generally positive. Staff have always been helpful and swiftly sorted me out when some dire weather conditions strike (looking outside at the WLG storms today).
I usually park myself at the far end but avoid those tall tables with the shin-cracking bar between the table legs.

And I often travel on prices that WN charges with the ability to use a lounge at either end of the route.

I have yet to experience a Southwest lounge!
