Well my experience has been different. Back in November LAX to SYD on the DL 777-200LR, there was a whole section on the right side of the plane with no IFE (and no working reading light or FA call button). Yep, I was in that section. On my return, it was exactly the same all over again, but I was on the opposite side that time. On a previous trip I also had IFE issues, but I was able to move to a different seat where the system was working.
