Stayed twice at Zannos Melathron, but would not anymore. Used to have excellent food, but it now needs lots of work in all sorts of areas. Suites are very tired and dated, service not so good. Public area lovely, but the rest, as they say, is history. VERY windy up there, too.
Funnily enough, Andronis Luxury Suites, which is in a restored mansion at the beginning of Oia, was opened by an ex staff member of a sister hotel to Zannos Melathron (very small world on Santorini). It is OK, but not great. Beds are hard, views are nice, service wavers.
Katikies remains the best option on Santorini. And I would not go near Fira unless you are into clubbing.
